Eric Kelly
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Eric Kelly is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the technology industry and a synergistic balance of operational, marketing and sales management expertise. He has served as Sphere 3D Corporation’s Chairman since July 2013 and Chief Executive Officer since the company’s merger with Overland Storage in December 2014. Mr. Kelly served as Overland Storage’s CEO since January 2009, its President & CEO since January 2010 and as a Board member since November 2007.

Prior to joining Overland, Mr. Kelly was President of Silicon Valley Management Partners Inc., a management consulting and M&A advisory firm which he co-founded in 2007. Earlier, he held the positions of Vice President and General Manager of Storage Systems Solutions at Adaptec, Inc.; President and CEO of Snap Appliance, which was acquired by Adaptec; President of the Systems Division at Maxtor Corp.; and held various executive-level roles with Dell Computer Corp., Diamond Multimedia, Conner Peripherals and IBM.

Mr. Kelly currently serves on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Manufacturing Council and the White House’s Advanced Manufacturing Partnership, where he offers advice and counsel to the Obama administration on strategies and policy recommendations on ways to promote and advance U.S. manufacturing. He also participates on advisory boards for the University of San Francisco and San Francisco State University. Mr. Kelly earned an MBA from San Francisco State University and a B.S. in business from San Jose State University.

Peter Tassiopoulos
Vice Chairman and President

Peter Tassiopoulos was CEO of Sphere 3D from March of 2013 to December 2014. Having moved to the Role of President, he continues a well-established career in business development, sales management, and finance. Over the last 20 years Mr. Tassiopoulos has served as the founder or co-founder, director and/or as a senior executive of multiple companies covering a diverse array of industries. He has been a speaker and served on various panels at the United Nations, including “Age of Connectivity: Cities, Magnets of Hope….Imagining the Possible”, Mobile Health Management and, Digital Health.

Peter Ashkin
Director and Compensation Committee Chairman

Mr. Ashkin is President of Peter Ashkin Consulting, based in Paso Robles, California, a consulting agency that focuses on high-tech start-up companies. Mr. Ashkin also owns and operates Red Head Ranch in Paso Robles, California, a producer of award winning wines. Previously, Mr. Ashkin served as President of the Technology Group for CanWest Mediaworks (2004 – 2006), at that time, Canada’s largest media company, with multiple locations across Canada consisting of newspapers, broadcast television and cable. Prior to CanWest, Mr. Ashkin served as President of Product Strategy for AOL (America Online) (2001 – 2004), at that time, the world’s largest Internet provider. Mr. Ashkin also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Gateway Computer (1998 – 2001) and prior thereto a number of senior and executive management positions at both Toshiba Corporation and Apple Inc.

Glenn M. Bowman
Managing Director

Glenn joined CCC in 2014, he specializes in advising clients on acquisitions and divestitures private debt and equity financings, financial restructurings, business and securities valuations, and fairness opinions. He is also a frequent speaker and published author in these areas.

Glenn was the Managing Partner at Capital Canada Limited, a mid-market investment bank located in Toronto. He was formerly the President and Director of the Toronto office of Houlihan Lokey. Glenn began his career at Coopers & Lybrand where he specialized in the firm’s business valuation practice. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, a Chartered Business Valuator and holds a Corporate Finance Qualification with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has served as a member of the Small Business Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission as well as the Accounting Standards Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Glenn currently serves on the corporate boards of Rockcliff Resources Inc., WireIE Holdings International Inc., and Sphere 3D Inc. Glenn is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Daniel J. Bordessa

Mr. Bordessa joined our board in 2014 and is currently a partner of Cyrus Capital Partners, L.P. and Cyrus Capital Partners Europe, L.P. Prior to joining Cyrus Capital, Mr. Bordessa was an Executive Director at Lazard where he was responsible for providing restructuring and mergers and acquisitions advice. While at Lazard, Mr. Bordessa advised on many of Europe’s largest restructurings and was a frequent speaker at industry conferences and other events. Mr. Bordessa has also worked at National Bank Financial, the investment banking arm of the National Bank of Canada. Mr. Bordessa has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto and holds an Honors Bachhelor of Commerce degree.

Vivekanand Mahadevan

Vic Mahadevan joined our Board in December 2014. He has over 25 years of senior level strategic planning and marketing experience. He was the Chief Strategy Officer at NetApp from 2010 until October 2012 and prior to that time served as Vice President of Marketing for LSI Corporation. Prior to LSI Corporation, Vic was Chief Executive Officer for Deeya Energy and has also held senior management positions with leading storage and systems management companies including BMC Software, Compaq, Ivita, and Maxxan Systems. Vic holds an MBA in Marketing and MS in Engineering from the University of Iowa as well a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Mario Biasini

One of the original founders of Sphere 3D Inc., Mr. Biasini has been the President and a Director of Sphere 3D since its incorporation in 2009. Mr. Biasini has over 20 years of operations management experience working with and providing services to a wide range of companies in Canada and the U.S., including LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, iTravel 2000, Dairy Queen and Mentos. Mr. Biasini is also the founder and President of Promotion Depot Inc., a private company, in the graphic arts, printing, reproduction and promotional product industry.
